[ It's late when the feed clicks on, and Cliff looks more amused than anything. The bob of the camera means he's walking, and the rumble of Ironhide's Onix, Napalm, can be heard nearby. ]

So, we're on our way to Azalea Town- we kinda left Violet in a hurry- but it looks like we picked up a hitchhiker.

[ The camera swings around and comes to focus on a Wooper, perched on the Onix's tail. It's got a big, goofy, Wooper-style grin on its face as it bounces along with the movement of Napalm's tail. ]

It's been followin' us for a couple of days now. I don't know what its deal is, but I think it likes us. Or at least likes the free ride.

[ The camera swings back around to focus on Ironhide, and the front end of the Onix. They're both wearing the same ":|" face. Cliff just chuckles as he turns the camera back to himself. ]

I think its harmless. My traveling partners don't seem to agree.

[ from somewhere off-screen, there is a happy cry of: ] WOOOOPAH! WOOP!

... It obeys you. Does this mean we have to keep it?

All I did was ask, I bet it woulda done the same for you.

I'm not gonna try and catch it, if that's what you mean. It might keep followin' us, though.

Maybe it needs a reason to leave.

Ironhide, be nice.

I already told you, it's not hurtin' anything.

Look, if it's still following us by the time we get to the cave, I'll try to shoo it off, okay?

It is bothering Napalm.

[Ironhide just grunts an affirmative. That works for him.]

[ He angles his head a little to look at the Onix ]

You gonna make it to the cave okay?

[Napalm bobs her head, glancing back at the Wooper. She looks decidedly less ":|" for some reason.]

... Traitor.

I think she made a friend.

She likes all the little ones.

She's awful gentle for bein' a giant rock monster.

She dislikes being called "monster".

[... actually, she doesn't seem particularly bothered by it.]

[ He just chuckles ] I'll stop.

Sorry, Napalm. [ though he's totally looking at Ironhide when he says that ]

[Napalm... makes some kind of weird grumbling purr, bobbing her head at Cliff -- All is forgiven.]

Good. You should be.

Your pokémon is a saint, you know that?

... A what now?

Saint. Human religion thing. Saints are all about kindness and tolerance and patience.

Oh.

[He looks Napalm up and down.]

Yeah... sounds about right.

[ He laughs to himself ] Saint Napalm, pokémon of endless patience.

[Napalm looks decidedly pleased by this, even so much as to bounce her tail a little for the Wooper.]

I think she likes that.

[ That just makes the Wooper ignore Cliff's previous instructions and shout ] WOOOOOPAAAAAAH!!

[ Cliff just laughs ] So does her rider.

[He just... makes a face. Napalm continues to look pleased.]

She has a soft spot for... small things.
